Vohandas began in 2020, a year when the world grew quiet and many of us looked inward. During that time, I realized how easily I had slipped into the rhythm of corporate life, focused on goals and expectations that left little room for creativity. The part of me that loved beauty and meaning had been waiting for space to breathe.

Vohandas became that space. It started as a small idea and grew into a community of people who share a desire to live with intention. Together, we created a place that honors thoughtful choices and celebrates pieces that feel personal.

After moving back home to Nairobi, Kenya, in 2020, we opened our first store in Nairobi a year later. Today, our products can be found in select small boutiques in the United States and Kenya. We have two warehouses, one in New Jersey and the other in Nairobi. Our products are created in Nairobi and, for select items, sent to New Jersey for packaging and shipping to our U.S. customers.
